Artist's Comments
This is a plein air watercolour of a lake not too far from my home. I like painting outdoors, but I usually do it in acrylic because I'm more comfortable painting scenery in acrylic; but on this occasion, I thought I'd just try watercolour.
Mountain Creek Lake is at Callaway Gardens - I'm occasionally asked to paint there so the tourists will have something to gawp at while they're walking around the park. It's kind of fun; I like answering questions and talking to the people.  This is about 12" by 18", just a quick little painting, so please go easy on the nasty remarks.  |
