I usually put paintings of animals in my other account,

, but that account already has a sumi-e koi painting. This one's a bit smaller at 5" by 9"; watercolour, of course.

Thanks! I generally try to come up with my own designs for sumi-e, but

's wonderful koi was so perfect, I had to ask to borrow the idea.

Glad you like the lips! One of the things I painted in the kids' class was a colourful folk-art fish with humongous lips and big grinning teeth. And sunglasses. I really ought to post it in the scraps.
