A young lady from our town is going to have a baby, so people are throwing "baby showers" for her. Apparently, part of the ritual involves giving "hostess gifts" to the ladies throwing the showers. The hostess gifts they chose were four framed paintings of each of the hostesses' homes. This is the first. It's 8" by 10" watercolour, commissioned. As it's a commissioned gift, I'm sure you'll understand that criticism is discouraged.
Thanks! She really was - she rushed right out and had prints made from my original. I guess that's kind of an honour, but I wish she'd bought the prints through DA or me.
Thank you very much! I guess it's mostly just a matter of painting in the shadows in the right places and paying attention to where the light source is. More patience than talent, I assure you.
